Matthew Matava, MD

Dr. Matava is a sports medicine specialist whose clinical and academic focus is concentrated on meniscal, ligament, and articular cartilage injuries of the knee. He has over 250 publications in the field of orthopedic sports medicine and he has been a contributor to a number of award-winning studies in Sports Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the St. Louis Blues Hockey team. Recognized annually as a ‘Top Doc’ in St. Louis, he was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
